More than 70 Museums in Florence!
Florence, at the heart of the Italian Renaissance, looks like an open air museum. Its cathedral, churches and many palaces that you can admire when you wander in the streets of the city, were designed, built and decorated by many of the most illustrious of artists of the time.
Palazzo Larderel for example was designed by Giovanni Antonio Dosio in the 16th century. But in order to better understand the history of Florence, it is also a must to visit some of the 70 museums in the city. Sculpture, art, architecture, mathematics, archeology, history, physics and astronomy, and even fashion!
Florence has a museum for everyone. There you will find the paintings, sculptures and frescoes created by the greatest artists. Of course there are the most famous museums, and in particular the Galleria dei Uffizzi, the Bargello, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Galleria dell’ Academia, the Museum of the ”Opera del Duomo”, but there are so many others, less known but so interesting, and where you will find much less people, such as the Galileo Museum, the Stibbert Museum, the Bardini Museum, just to give a few names…
Villa le Barone will be happy to book tickets for guests at the Villa and guests at Palazzo Larderel so that they can avoid queuing. Villa le Barone will also be able to give suggested itineraries in and around the city, as well as to provide an experienced and authorized guide for guests to fully enjoy their visit and understand what is behind the paintings and sculptures that one can see in the museums in Florence.
